Rock the Mock-Racing through the Decades 5k

RoCo Fit invites the public to join the free fun end of the season Mock 5k, Thursday, October 29th at Claremore Lake. No registration needed.

They will begin the rocking and racing to music through the decades at 5:30 p.m. with a 1 mile fun walk/run and then proceed to the 6:00 p.m. start for the 5k walk/run. This event is family friendly and for anyone wanting to have fun being active and listening to music from different decades along the 5k trail route. They encourage everyone attending to wear a costume/outfit showing off their favorite decade (50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and beyond)-however, it is not required.

The Healthy Community Partnership will be Growing the Good and giving t-shirts to the first 150 kids, as well as participation medals and water bottles for all participants (as supplies last). Tatur Racing will be graciously donating their time and equipment and Chameleon Sounds will be helping with rocking out at the start/finish line. With the help from a great many wonderful partnerships, Rogers County is celebrating a healthier community!

Rogers County has several fun, free opportunities to get healthier. RoCo Fit will begin their next free training session for beginning to advanced walking and running in March of 2016. However, there will be members still moving throughout the winter as we strongly encourage. To find out more visit their website at www.rocofit.org or follow them on Facebook – RoCo LoCo Motion.
